Dr. Alfredo Meza Pérez has occupied multiple scientific positions on the executive board of the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, as invited professor and coordinator of continuing education for physicians, and as member of the editorial board of the Mexican Journal of Plastic Surgery. 

Dr. Meza is also actively involved with the Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, having worked as professional consultant, treasurer, and as a board examiner for physician certification for 10 years. The Council is the maximum governing body recognized by the National Academy of Medicine that certifies the academic and scientific training and certification of new specialists in Mexico.

For the last 16 years Dr. Meza has been a graduate professor of plastic surgery at the School of Medicine at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In addition, for many years he provided his services to hospitals in the public health sector, first as attending physician and later as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Rubén Leñero Hospital in Mexico City, where he gained extensive experience in the reconstruction of lower extremities, hand surgery, and microsurgery and he is especially regarded for his expertise in the treatment of injuries to the maxillofacial skeleton.

Currently Dr. Meza dedicates himself primarily to the private practice of aesthetic plastic surgery.
